"Marketing and public relations is a difficult task, especially when it comes to unique and creative ways to generate some buzz. Gifting custom disposable cameras to partners and influencers is an incredible, scroll-stopping way to put the spotlight on your brand."
Why Disposables?
Maybe you see it, maybe you don’t, either way it’s undeniable: Film is back. Just as vinyl has made its way back into the spotlight after years of music streaming domination, so is the outlook for film photography in an era of smartphones. The sooner you hop on board, the sooner your customers, followers and friends will recognize you and your brand as creative, authentic, and trendy.
Disposable cameras are increasingly popular because you get all the benefits of film photography without the learning curve and technical knowledge. More and more people are gravitating towards single use cameras because they keep people in the moment, capture and create memories, and give the gift of delayed gratification.
Keeping You in The Moment - In a world filled with notifications and distractions, younger crowds are actually seeking out ways to put their phones down. The world is starting to recognize the beauty in simplicity, like snapping a photo when the moment calls for it without the distraction of an endless stream of notifications that ultimately pull you away from what’s right in front of you. Analog cameras are the perfect solution.
Capture & Create Memories - Who doesn’t like a good party prop? Disposable cameras not only capture incredible memories but also become part of the memories. Its inevitable that these toys are the hit of the party and will pass hands and put smiles on the faces of everyone involved.
The Gift of Delayed Gratification - It seems every time a photo is taken on our phone, we need to take 100 because we overanalyze every shot trying to get the perfect angle. There’s something extremely special in taking a picture and not knowing how it came out until you get your film developed. It enhances your memory of the event and makes the picture that much more special. It’s guaranteed film photos will be a hit in your group chat and socials.
Why Custom Disposable Cameras?
What comes to mind when you think of disposable cameras? We think of authenticity, creativity, and community.
Now if these are words you want to associate with your brand, custom Analog cameras are a great way to do it. If you’re reading this, you know the importance of getting your brand out there. Historically, this has been accomplished with “swag,” small items like pens, plastic glasses, and stress balls with your logo on it.
You’ll be lucky if that XYZ branded pen even makes it back to the car, let alone have a positive memory associated with it. Give your customers meaningful gifts that will forever create and capture memories that will always be tied back to you, your brand or event.
Not only are custom disposable cameras a more thoughtful gift, but it also means that the recipient will be putting your logo right at eye level… 27 times!
So, when does it make sense to order branded throw away cameras? We’ll make a case that these are perfect for:
- Large events
- Brands looking to gift to partners
- Retail businesses wanting to generate sales through a new product offering
Custom Disposable Cameras for Events
Take your event to the next level with disposable cameras, an authentic way to capture candid moments and the raw vibe of your party. Analog cameras are not meant to replace professional photographers, because they simply do different jobs. Disposables are fun, less serious ways to spark conversations and laughter among your guests.
We’ve heard on countless occasions how Analogs can immediately break the ice between people who have never met. Think about the power placing a single camera on a table has on a crowd. All of the sudden, guests are laughing, connecting and snapping pictures.
Ever want a moment to last forever? Well, we can’t quite deliver that, but getting to relive a moment after your film is developed is the next best thing. Every time we follow up with a customer about a party, wedding or launch event with custom Analog cameras, they tell us the cameras were a hit, both during and after!
In terms of the logistics, there is no right or wrong way to integrate cameras into your party. Your creativity as a party planner is the only limit. Below are a few ideas of how event coordinators have used their cameras in the past. Have you tried something else you’d recommend? Let us know and we’ll add it to the list!
- Place a camera at each table
- Set up a central location where guests can grab a camera
- Put cameras in gift baskets for guests to take home
- Give cameras to select guests (ie. the life of the party) or staff
Once you’ve got a plan, it’s time to design a camera that perfectly captures the vibe of your event. This is where you can really let your creative juices flow, adding your logo, event name, social media handles, and anything else!
If you don’t have an in-house design team, you can always use ours! We’ll work with you to make sure your 100% satisfied with the end result.
If the goal isn’t to gift these cameras to your guests, you’ll also want to make sure to collect all the cameras so you can send them in for development, the process of turning film into usable pictures. Collection bins/areas are a great, hands-off approach to making sure you get the cameras back. Remember that every disposable camera needs to be developed, which is why Analog includes development with every Analog camera! Any other disposable leaves you to figure out that task – an expensive and time-consuming proposition.
Custom Disposable Cameras for Brands
Marketing and public relations is a difficult task, especially when it comes to unique and creative ways to generate some buzz. Gifting custom disposable cameras to partners and influencers is an incredible, scroll-stopping way to put the spotlight on your brand.
The utility is what separates this gift from others. Recipients will literally create and capture memories they’ll remember forever with a single use camera that has your logo and colors on it. When they’re done having fun with it, they get to enjoy it even more when their photos are sent to them.
Don’t be surprised when you get tagged in the pictures. Its as inevitable as the camera and pictures being passed around friend groups followed by smiles and laughter.
So when should you get custom disposable cameras for your brand? We’ve compiled a list of the most common reasons our partner brands place an order with us:
- Holiday gift baskets
- Launch strategy, new product offering, and brand awareness
- Employee or media gifts
- User generated content as part of a large marketing push
This list just scratches the surface! The bottom line is that custom disposable cameras have the ability to spark conversations among strangers and make smiles appear out of thin air. All the incredible memories associated with using the camera and receiving the pictures are now instantly tied to your brand.
And have we mentioned that every person who receives your custom camera literally puts your logo at eye level a minimum of 27 times? That is how you gift intentionally.
As we’ll talk about in a later section, all disposables must be developed. Places that develop film these days are rare, the process is long and inconvenient, and it can cost a lot. Don’t let the annoyance of development leave a bad taste in the mouths of those who loved using your custom branded camera!
Analog is the only company that offers custom branded disposable cameras with film development INCLUDED. We even send the pictures directly to your phone, making downloading and sharing these memories easier than ever.

Custom Disposable Cameras for Retail
Why not get in on the action? If you own an online or brick and mortar store, adding custom disposable cameras to your product offering is a great way to increase orders, conversions and average order value. We see firsthand how much demand has picked up and if you’re already receiving a lot of traffic to your store, this is a great way to translate that into more profit.
We’ll share a little secret about our retail demographic: 90% of sales come from women aged 18-30 and men aged 17-26. If this sounds like it may overlap with your target market, you probably already have a customer base that would buy disposable cameras!
There are three big decisions to make when deciding on selling custom disposable cameras:
- Camera Design
- Packaging Design and Protection
- Including Development
Camera Design
Getting your design right will influence your ability to sell more cameras. Most companies we work with go one of three routes: 1) branding the camera with their logo, colors, and name, 2) creating unique designs that aren’t necessarily brand related, or 3) a combination of the two.
Each has their own benefit and really depends on your brand and customers. No matter which direction you go, Analog will work with your design team, or provide you with ours, to make sure you’re completely satisfied with your custom disposable cameras.
Packaging Design and Protection
Cameras need to be protected when shipping and they need packaging that stands out in your store. Think about both when deciding on how to add disposable cameras to your product offering.
Analog ships cameras in protective mailer boxes with custom foam inserts. We think this looks incredible on the outside, provides a great experience when opening the package, and keeps the camera safe during transit.
If you don’t want to worry about figuring out how to package your camera, consider customizing our ready-to-go mailer box with custom foam insert.
Including Development
Let’s face it: it's much easier to not include development with each camera and allows you to sell at a lower price. That said, you can take the customer experience to the next level by taking the headache out of the film development process.
We’ve worked with companies before that:
- Include development with every camera
- Sell just the camera without development
- Include just a recommendation on where to get the camera developed when the time comes
Just like the other considerations, there is no right or wrong answer. Just what makes sense for you, your business, and your customers.

What to Consider When You Order Custom Branded Single Use Cameras
There are a few considerations when ordering single-use cameras, especially if you’re going to customize or brand them. Here are our top suggestions on questions you should be asking companies if you’re considering buying film cameras from them.
Film
What film and film speed are used in the cameras?
A great idea can turn bad when you sacrifice quality parts for cheap alternatives. Not all film is the same so make sure the film is a recognized brand name and a number higher than ISO 200 or 200 speed. Analog uses Kodak ISO 400 speed film to ensure that pictures don’t come out overly dark if you forget to use the flash.
How many exposures (pictures) come with each camera?
Again, cheap prices can often mean suppliers are cutting corners. Your camera should come with at least 27 exposure film. Each Analog camera comes with preloaded with 27 pictures.
Camera
Does the camera come with flash?
Disposable cameras use film that will require flash in low light situations. Make sure you’re not giving people a camera that can only be used during the day. Analog cameras include flash for perfect shots in all conditions.
Customization/Custom Branding
What resources do you have to help me with my design?
Customizing a camera label can be tricky, make sure the company you’re working with gives you the right tools for the job! For example, Analog provides each of our clients with a Photoshop and Illustrator template for design. We work with your design team or can offer you our own for a small fee to make sure your design is perfect. We continuously collaborate until your design is perfect and will send you a final proof to accept before production. If there are any deviances from the final proof, we offer a full refund guarantee on our products.
What material is used for custom labels?
Make sure to not cut corners, especially when it comes to your brand and the material its printed on! We recommend a thin, semi-gloss, water resistant material to make sure your brand is always in the best light. Analog uses a thermal transfer film with permanent adhesive.
Development
Do your cameras come with development included?
Every disposable camera MUST be developed, the question you should ask yourself is whether you want to shift this responsibility to your customer or take care of it for them. There is no right or wrong answer as it is highly dependent on your situation. Analog cameras default to having development included but can be ordered without if you’re interested in just the camera for a cheaper price. We are not aware of any other disposable camera supplier that offers development with your purchase.
How can my customers/partners get digital uploads of their pictures?
These pictures are meant to be shared! Make sure customers and partners can easily tag your brand on social media by providing digital copies of all photos.
Other
What is your lead time?
Planning ahead gives you a lot of flexibility! Analog has a standard lead time of 4 weeks from finalization of design because we have many internal checks to make sure each order is perfect. Our lead time can be expedited for smaller orders or on one-off cases.
What happens if I have an issue with the product or service?
Your order is important. Make sure a team based in the United States is ready to assist anytime you need help. Analog was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, where our entire team still works today.
Disposable Cameras in Corporate Holiday Gift Boxes
Looking for a way to make your holiday or Christmas gift box stand out in a crowd? Look no further! All brands are putting together gift baskets and gift guides, but few are including disposable cameras. Even fewer are including custom branded disposable cameras!
You only need a few “wow” items to really impact someone’s view of your company, and this is one of them as the camera immediately becomes a part of some of their favorite memories. There are not many other gifts that have this type of impact at this price point.
Make sure to plan well in advance of when you anticipate sending out the gift boxes as shipping/lead times get longer the closer you get to the Holidays. If you’re simply cutting it too close, or you’d like to save a little bit of money, ask about bulk pricing on our standard, non-customized, Analog disposable cameras!
